We are looking for a freelance Sewcial Media Manager to manage our social media channels and assist in creating content. This is a part-time remote position of 10-15 hours per week. Applicants must reside in the US.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Create social media content (Instagram posts, stories, and reels) featuring Zakka Workshop kits, hardware, and books (ex: short technique tutorials, book flip throughs, photos and videos of sewn samples)

  • Connect with online quilting/sewing community: Answer customer questions, respond to comments and messages, repost stories and photos featuring Zakka Workshop products

  • Organize and manage promotional events such as quilt alongs and giveaways

  • Collaborate with fabric companies and quilting/sewing influencers to coordinate marketing campaigns

  • Assist with and/or oversee sample making and pattern testing

Required Skills:

  • Experience with creating fun social media content and connecting with online quilting/sewing community

  • Proficient with Instagram and Facebook

  • General knowledge of the quilting/sewing industry

  • Ability to sew and quilt

  • Comfortable shooting photos and videos with a phone
